Horse generally does not like saddle pads as they are uncomfortable. If you are using first time saddle pad on horse back, then he may become violent if put forcibly on it. It is better to show some love and care and have patience before putting a saddle pad, especially in case of new horse. Once your horse start trusting you then it is easy to put saddle pad on his back as he become assured that you will never harm him.
